Turmeric, a powerful member of the ginger family. Not only does it taste delicious in curries and soups: it also has innumerable health benefits. It’s loaded with a variety of nutrients, known for its healing properties. Known to treat inflammation and arthritis and used as a pain killer and anti-coagulant, to name a few.
Turmeric can also add colour and a delightful flavour to many dishes. Aside from curries and soups, you can also enjoy it as tea and in smoothies.
Handy tip: If cutting fresh turmeric wear gloves to avoid your hands going orange!
