There are numerous benefits of making berries a staple in your diet. Berries are not only full of anti-oxidants they are also known to improve heart health, brain function and memory loss.
Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, acai berries, the list goes on! Strawberries contain Vitamin C and K, are high in fibre, folic acid, manganese and potassium. Blueberries are also high in Vitamin C and are known to help with heart and bone strength, among other health benefits.
Handy tip: Although fresh is always best, you can freeze your berries and they will retain their nutrients and be on-hand to use in smoothies.
